The Wayne Rich: PRO/MOD CONTENDER 9’0”
Built to engage modern day pro level longboard surfing from tip to tail,
mixing up clean explosive power moves, fluid rail to rail freedom, and
excellent nose riding for a progressive design. With multiple variations
of innovative design theories massaged into its foundation, the
evolution of five generations over the past 7 years has finally paid
off. Radical shape transitions and foil volume give the unique look and
feel that this board is
known for. If you run a straight edge across the bottom you will see a
very deep blended nose concave transitioning to flat 2" behind centre
that also happens to be the thickest part of the board. This concave to
flat area of the centre line rocker acts as a speed box and flows into a
light spiral "V" with double barrel concaves. As the rocker curve
accelerates off the end of the tail, the "V" and concaves decrease for
added compression off of your back foot. Extreme speed through creative
directional movement is the result. Awesome with a 2+1 set up or as a
performance single fin design. Anyone from the beginner to an expert
surfer can raise their own personal level on one these boards... WR
