I just got back from Bali and wanted to drop you a quick note to tell

you that my Bisect board was GREAT!!! The airlines have really clamped down on taking long boards, probably the reason why I saw so few of them in the waves in Bali! Anyway, there was no drama for me and it was a pleasure to slip out of the airport and into a cab without the usual problems of extra bribes etc. to get from the airport to the hotel! But what I really wanted to tell you was the board surfed great and it certainly created a lot of interest amongst the local and tourist surfer alike! I got quite a few double takes and stares – I always found it easier to walk with one piece under each arm, which resulted in numerous calls from the Bali beach boys, something about “broken board mister”. We had loads of laughs!! Thanks once again for a brilliant product, I am planning my next adventure, maybe the Maldives!
Cheers, David Ryan

“I can’t tell you how much easier life was travelling with a nine-foot mal tucked away in a 4’6” suitcase!! The guys at Pope in the USA have been working on this concept for ages and have finally nailed it!”

We checked in at Sydney airport on our way to Noosa and the airline refused to take my husband and son’s long boards. We offered money (excess baggage charge?) but were told we had to go to freight which was at another part of the terminal, we would have missed our flight so ended up paying $300 to have the boards stored at the airport for the 10 days of our holiday. The boys were not happy!

I checked in at Melbourne and was told my JS staff they would not take my long board. I rang a friend who had just dropped me off and she came back and took my board to the freight place down the road. It arrived in Byron 3 days later and cost me a $140 each way!!

I flew to NZ with Virgin, no dramas with my 9’ Noserider on the way over but when I checked in to come home they said “no way”, my board would have to be freighted!! I had no choice and it cost me $280. Then when I went to collect it in Oz they wanted money for custom clearance charges!! A total nightmare!!

Hi Guys, Just a quick note to let you know how pleased I am with my new Pope Bisect. The waves were head high plus and the board performed like a charm. I didn't even once feel like I was surfing a two piece surfboard. It paddled, manoeuvred, and was just as fast as can be down the line to get past sections as any one piece longboard I have ridden. This isn't just a travel board, it is a daily
(I wish) rider. It assembles quickly and fits in just about any vehicle. My other boards will be getting less use. I would highly recommend this board. Gotta go surfs up!
Sincerely Dan Pitot

Hi Mike,

My well traveled, travel board arrived safely for pick up at Brisbane airport and I managed to squeeze a couple of days surfing Tea tree point at Noosa . So all is good. The big ten foot is a cruisy board for those conditions and I love it .
Thanks for your exceptional service ( I realize you went to a big effort).
Back surfing the fickle east coast of northland New Zealand - just the sort of conditions you need a big "cheater board " like the ten foot bisect.
All the best

G’day Dave, Mike, Thane & Karl, I just got back from a trip up the NSW & QLD coast from Sydney to the Goldy & I am so impressed with the board. Surfed at Crescent for 2 days at 4 to 6 foot (best right hander I have ridden), blown away how the board handled this size wave. The first time I went out with just the single fin, then the next 2 with the thrusters in & does it turn well!! Plus I got 5 hanging off the nose for the first time. Next stop Byron Bay, surfed the Pass twice on the first day, a bit choppy early but the board handled it easy.

As far as the air travel went in Sydney the board came out on the luggage belt, no going to over size luggage area. It fitted in the rear seat area of a Commodore sedan.

The next trip we are going to Nusa Lembongan, Indo next month for 10 days, last year I took 2 boards over 9 foot, this year the Bisect & a 7’ fun gun, I will let you know how it goes.

Hi Mike, Just returned from Thailand Phuket took the 10 foot bisect had some good days surfing over there when conditions were right. Getting it on and off the aircraft and into small hire cars was easy . Taking a big surfboard up to your hotel room can be a hassle, but not this one (I am always on the top floor). This is a very good design from setting up to pulling apart. It was easy on the entry into the wave and turned nicely even for some one of my skill level, I love it !!
